How it differs from self-service

Managed VPS uses the same published CPU, RAM, disk, locations and OS images as self-service VPS. You do not configure it in the VPS builder and pay at checkout. You tell us the plan and location; our team creates it and operates it.

What managed includes

We run the server in the scope we agree: typically patching, monitoring and backups. You still get the published hardware profile. SSH access for you is agreed per engagement — it is not automatically the same as an unmanaged VPS.

Pricing and availability

The monthly price includes the published management markup on the catalogue plan. Availability follows published plans and locations, not the public self-service VPS sales switch. If no managed plans are listed, they are not for sale yet.

How to order

Contact support with the plan, location and OS you want from the live catalogue. We confirm, provision, and the server appears in your Steady account next to billing.

Access and changes

You see the server in the same portal as self-service VPS. Power actions, IPs and metrics appear when they are enabled for that machine. Extra software, extra users and extra firewall policy are part of the managed scope we wrote down — they are not unlimited complimentary development.

If you later want full root without us on the machine, say so: that is a move back to self-service, not a hidden toggle.

What we do not do by default

Managed VPS is not application hosting unless we agreed to run the app. We do not automatically migrate WordPress, rewrite your code, or include a website subscription. Those are separate products.
