Getting Started
Deploy your first VPS
Configure, pay, then collect access in the dashboard after our team places the provider order.
Configure
Open the VPS builder. Choose a published plan (CPU, RAM, NVMe), a location from the live catalogue, and an OS image that is actually listed. Typical images include Ubuntu and Debian; the list on the configurator is the source of truth.
You can add an OpenSSH public key at order time, or use a key already saved on your account. Steady never accepts or stores private keys. If you do not supply a key, we store a one-time password when the platform issues one — you collect it from the portal, not email.
The monthly price updates as you change the configuration. VAT is shown before you pay.
Pay and provision
Nothing is charged until you place the order. After payment clears, the order waits for our team to place the provider order. You can follow status on the order and server pages: paid, awaiting fulfilment, provisioning, ready.
This is not instant checkout provisioning. Credentials appear in the portal, never in email.
First login
When the server is running, the portal shows the public IPv4 address, the login username, and where to collect credentials. Connect with ssh {username}@ip — not a hardcoded root@ address. Change a one-time password immediately.
