Search
Use the domain search on the site or in the portal. Steady checks availability live. You see first-year and renewal prices excluding VAT before you add the name to an order.
If an extension is not in the catalogue, or the result is search-only, it cannot be registered through Steady yet. Exclusive extensions may be on request rather than instant checkout.
Register
After payment, Steady registers the domain in your name. Auto-renew is on by default so the name does not drop at the end of the year unless you turn it off.
You follow status in the portal: pending, then active. Nameservers can be set at registration (up to four) or left on the defaults until you point the domain at hosting or a VPS.
After it is active
Manage lock, auto-renew, nameservers, auth code and DNS from the domain page. Connect hosting or a VPS in the same account when you are ready.
