Retries, invoices, and what gets suspended.
What happens
Card charges that fail are retried automatically. You get an invoice in Billing either way. Update the card under payment methods before the next attempt.
Services
Unpaid subscriptions can suspend: sites, hosting, and in some cases domains if renewal never collected. Fix billing first, then ask support to restore if the product is still within restore rules.
